The Yards to Host 25 Summer Neighborhood Events,

Embracing Waterfront Views, One-of-a-Kind Outdoor Space, Pirates and Beyoncé

Washington, DC: The Yards, Washington DC’s premier waterfront neighborhood nestled between the Washington Nationals Ballpark to the west and the Anacostia River to the south, announces their 2017 summer event series. The series, which begins on Thursday, June 15 and runs through Labor Day Weekend, will include art, music and entertainment events for children and adults alike. All events open to the public, and most are free.

The Yards Summer Event Series will take place throughout the neighborhood’s outdoor community spaces, incorporating the waterfront views and lush outdoor spaces the neighborhood has to offer.

The event series offers everything from outdoor Beyoncé themed dance classes and Broadway bingo to kid friendly activities like Bubbles and Bluegrass evenings hosted in front of some of the area’s favorite retailers, Steadfast Supply and Due South.

The Yards summer event series is geared towards complementing Nationals’ game-day schedules, with fun things to do before or after a day at the ballpark.
