Bridge to Bridge Fun Run & Concert
Get your running shoes and dancing feet ready for a fun community evening to remember at the riverfront with friends, family, and neighbors to properly close out the summer season and kick off your September weekend.
Gather at the Yards Park Boardwalk at 6:00 pm for swag giveaways and a casual 5K fun run for all ages – guided by Pacers Running experts. Then jog along the Anacostia River and over the neighborhood’s newest landmark Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge before checking out Anacostia Park, and crossing back over the 11th Street Bridge back into Yards Park.
A scoop or a splash?! Reward yourself for a run well done with a free scoop from Ice Cream Jubilee or a glass of wine, beer, or seltzer courtesy of the Capitol Riverfront BID (attendees must check in for the run by 6:10 pm + complete the fun run to receive a scoop or splash).
End the night by sticking around for another LIVE FRIDAY NIGHT CONCERT at Yards Park featuring lawn games, glitter tattoos, a full bar setup, and food from Agua 301 for purchase.
Can’t make it for the fun run? Come out and enjoy a night of entertainment at the riverfront anyway. The concert is free & open to the public.
